Twenty-five years ago, the Iredell County Partnership for Young Children was created as the local Smart Start initiative to ensure that children birth to age five are getting what they need early in life to thrive. Guided by our commitment to lift children to better beginnings, we embarked on a journey to provide services focused on raising the quality of early care and education, supporting families, advancing child health, and expanding early literacy. In honor of our 25th Anniversary, we are hosting a Change the First Five Years Investment Luncheon. The event will take place Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 12-1 pm at the Statesville Civic Center.
Our mission is your mission. We all have a stake in what happens to children in the first five years. A vital and productive society with a prosperous and sustainable future is built on a foundation of healthy child development. We are fighting for children, for families, for the early childhood workforce, for our community, and for you. And together, we can fulfill the promise of today’s children to become healthy, thriving, contributing members of their communities. Will you join the fight and help guide the next 25 years?
