***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING DOLLY PARTON'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY***
At Iredell County Partnership for Young Children, we believe that early literacy is the key to a child's future success. As a member of the Smart Start Network and through our partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) and support from state funding, we have been able to provide children from birth to age five with a free, high-quality book every month for the past seven years. The success of our state-funded DPIL program has led us to reach funding capacity.
As a result, in Iredell County, we regret to announce that new enrollments are closed as of February 1st, 2025. This has been a difficult decision, and we understand the impact it has on families who are hoping to sign up. If your child is already enrolled and receiving books by February 1, 2025, they will continue to receive their monthly book until they turn five.
Our commitment to providing children with free, high-quality books remains strong and we are working to secure additional funding to support new enrollments in Iredell County. We are hopeful that with increased support, we will be able to reopen registration for DPIL in Iredell County to serve more children and families across the state.
